The Georgian Electrotechnical Association (GETA), in collaboration with the Market Surveillance Agency (MSA), recently hosted a highly informative meeting on the Low Voltage Directive (LVD). As Georgia prepares to introduce LVD regulations to its market in 2025, this session provided essential insights into compliance requirements and their implications for the electrotechnical industry.
The meeting highlighted how LVD compliance will set the foundation for enhanced safety and quality standards, benefiting both businesses and consumers in Georgia. It was a significant step toward aligning the local market with international norms.
Special thanks go to the MSA team, particularly Giorgi Darchiashvili and Nika Pilpani, for their expertise in leading the discussions. Their guidance was invaluable in addressing key questions and ensuring a clear understanding of the directive.
We also extend our gratitude to all participants for their active engagement. Events like these underscore the importance of collaboration in driving progress. Together, we are paving the way for a safer, more compliant future for Georgia’s electrotechnical industry.
